Since 1996 Newcomer Custom Furniture has been providing custom-built hardwood furniture and cabinetry using traditional wood joinery techniques. Richard Newcomer designs and builds each custom piece to meet the individual needs of the customer. Complete drawings are provided and revised to insure the optimum design and function while type of wood, dimensions and finish are all tailored to suit the client. Individually selected materials are of the very highest quality to bring forth the beauty naturally present in the hardwood. Techniques such as mortise and tenon, tongue and groove, and dovetail joinery lend strength and character to each piece. Finisher and business partner, Lucy Berry, hand applies a variety of stains and protective topcoats to suit customer preferences.

We attend premier arts and crafts shows each fall and spring to present our inventory of furniture and furniture accessories to the public. Our display of original designs and expert craftsmanship highlight the distinctive look available for your home or office. Individual pieces can be complemented with additional furniture to provide a complete room décor. Delivery of custom pieces is facilitated by our attendance at each show venue twice a year.
